Lysidice brevicalyx Wei, bynamed as Ma Yimu, belongs to the caesalpiniaceae and  lysidice arbor. It is a kind of tree subject to provincial protection level and is also one of the famous wood in Dongguan. This kind of tree is about 10-20m tall, while its panicles measures about 12-20 centimeters long. Its petal color is fuchsia with blossoming of 3-5months. This plant is mainly located in Guangdong, HongKong, GuangXi and Yunnan and growing in the sparse forest. It has vast functions: its wood is hard, so it can be used as a good building material. Its color is bright, so it is a top choice for landscaping. Its root, stem and leaves can be classified as medicine, because they have the function of dissipating stasis and dispersing swelling, as well as stanching and relieving pain. 
In 2008, Lysidice brevicalyx Wei community in Yinping Mountain Forest Park was appraised as the largest community among the same kind of community nationwide by the experts from Southern China Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It covers an area of 5000 mu, mainly concentrated in Yangqiao Scenery Area. During the blossoming season between March and May, the bright fuchsia-colored flower blossoms all over the mountains and plains, which present a magnificent view. Bright-colored Lysidice brevicalyx Wei becomes a main beautiful scene in the Yinping Mountain Forest Park.
